Providing Safety and Security to Women and Girls: Pour Les Femmes Foundation

In order to expand the founding mission of Pour Les Femmes to give back to women in conflict regions of the world, we created the Pour Les Femmes Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity. The Foundation allows Pour Les Femmes to expand its social impact and provide monetary support to local NGOs in Africa working towards gender equality and reduced poverty.

We led external engagements, including collaborations with international partners, to unlock resources that allow the Pour Les Femmes Foundation to multiply its impact. We oversee grant-making related to capacity-building for the Pour Les Femmes GiveWork program in Goma, DRC, including monitoring, evaluation, and storytelling.

We led the evaluation and prioritization of the Foundation’s partnerships with a focus on capacity building that will help raise living standards for women and girls in the DRCongo.

The local partnerships we support in the DRC assist in changing lives for the better by providing education, decent work, support for people who are orphans/refugees of the war, of HIV/AIDS, or from the mining of conflict minerals.

UNGA Week 2022

We led the programming of the Foundation which in 2022 included a launch party during UNGA week in partnership with Freuds Group/Project Everyone at Tavern on the Green/Goals House sponsored by Salesforce and Salesforce.org in New York in September 2022.

A good time was had by all!

Clinton Global Initiative

Another highlight of UNGA Week was our invitation to the Clinton Global Initiative where Pour Les Femmes Foundation participated on a panel with Secretary Clinton on the Still Unfinished Business: How We Can Improve Economic Outcomes for Women.

We also partnered with Google.org to participate at their gala event during UNGA week.
